Ruby Slough Road Design Project

The Ruby Tribal Council is working on the design for the reconstruction of the Ruby Slough Road in Ruby, Alaska. This project will reconstruct approximately three miles of the Ruby Slough Road in Ruby, Alaska. The purpose of the proposed project is to finalize the improvements to the Ruby Slough Road. Improvements including clearing and grubbing, excavation, select borrow, aggregate surface course, culvert installation, riprap installation, signage, geotextile installation, mobilization, grading, soil stabilization, installation of ditches and best management practices for erosion control, and routine maintenance activities within the existing roadway easement. The project will improve the overall road condition and drainage, modify the horizontal and vertical alignment to maintain a reasonable grade for access to Ruby Slough for subsistence activities, access to the community landfill, and gravel hauling.
