Power, lighting, and controls were designed for a new greensand filtration system. The power feed was extended several thousand feet from the serving utility within an abandoned water line conduit. Valves and controls were used to continuously throttle the flow through the plant, slowly reducing the flow rate as the storage tank fills and increasing as demand occurs.

CRW completed the design, permitting, force account construction management, and start-up for a new water treatment plant, which treats the city’s surface water source from a dammed reservoir on the hill above the community. Water treatment includes coagulant injection, chlorination, and corrosion control. The facility’s process and controls design were also provided by CRW.

Design and permitting was provided for a new, pressure filtration water treatment plant, capable of producing up to 400,000 gallons of water per day through three, eight-foot-diameter, multi-media pressure filters. Construction management for force account construction of the facility was also provided.

As the Engineer of Record, CRW provided years of construction management services. Tasks included managing budgets, schedules,  workforce, and procurement activities. This photo is of the newly constructed 300,000-gallons-per-day water treatment plant.
