Location: Lake Hood/ANC

The Lake Hood Seaplane Base A and B general aviation aircraft parking areas were rehabilitated, including new asphalt surfacing over a cement-stabilized and geogrid-reinforced subgrade. The improvements also included curb and gutter, storm drain, illumination, and new aircraft tie-downs and heater outlets.

This project rehabilitated 1,900 feet of taxiway at Lake Hood Seaplane Base. The improvements included new pavement structural sections, ditching, storm drain, utility relocations, aircraft tie-downs, and striping and signage. Also included was the reconstruction of the Lake Hood ramp, which required installation of a seven-foot-high cofferdam during construction.

These improvements brought Taxiway V into conformance with the Airport Layout Plan's ultimate designation and included structural section replacement, shoulder paving, drainage, aircraft lighting, signing, and striping upgrades. The project also involved realigning West Tug Road, safety improvements to the Postmark Drive/Taxiway V intersection, and replacing the taxiway lighting circuit to the airfield lighting vault.
