CIRI Fireweed Campus

CRW provided the planning, survey and civil site design for the redevelopment of this urban site located at the intersection of Fireweed Lane and the New Seward Highway in Anchorage. The civil design was in support of the 9-story office building planned as the first phase of building improvements. We worked closely with the owner, architect and contractor to accelerate this CM/GC project to obtain a fill/grade permit to allow installation of the basic earthwork and water and sewer utilities. The site plan, complete with new driveways, parking areas, sidewalks, and a mini-roundabout, included significant re-grading to improve drainage, along with a 13,000 cubic foot underground stormwater storage system to retain storm runoff and release it slowly to the municipal storm drainage system. Planning included a drainage and traffic impact analysis, as well as replatting.
