This project is an excellent example of CRW’s ability to executive the MOA Context Sensitive Solutions/Context Sensitive Design guidelines. In addition to hosting public open houses with more than 70 attendees, documentation of over 100 individual comments, and countless phone calls, the project team met with many area residents to answer specific design questions from drainage to driveways. Additional public involvement included 20 presentations to the Rabbit Creek Community Council, coordination with the Hillside and Landowners Organization (HALO), and detailed presentations at the MOA Urban Design Commission and Planning & Zoning Commission, often with controversy voiced by local resident attendees. Despite the initial controversy, CRW has developed a positive working relationship built on mutual respect and trust with area residents. The team is proud to announce the project headed into final design of Golden View Drive from Rabbit Creek Road to Ransom Ridge Road in Fall 2014.
