CRW provided environmental engineering services as part of the Quinhagak Water & Sewer Project. These included analysis, testing and design of the community water source system that consisted of three slant wells adjacent to the Kanektok River. This system was successfully constructed and put online in 2013. The existing diatomaceous earth (DE) water filtration system needed to be upsized and replaced and we worked closely with the manufacturer to design a new, larger DE treatment system to work with the new water source. This system was also installed and put online in 2013. Additional environmental engineering work on the project included the analysis and design of a new sewage lagoon and landfill both of which were constructed and put into operation in 2006.
