    The Anchorage Metropolitan Area Transportation Solutions (AMATS), in coordination with the Municipality of Anchorage (MOA) and the Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is planning to design and construct recommended projects from the 2010 Anchorage Bicycle Plan.

  • Campbell Airstrip Road Upgrade and Trail Improvements

    Anchorage, Alaska

    The Municipality of Anchorage is working with CRW to provide upgrades and trail improvements from Tudor Road to 0.7 of Campbell Airstrip Road in east Anchorage. This project will provide safe access to both park users and residents and is a top priority for the Basher Community Council.

  • Duben Avenue Upgrade

    Anchorage Alaska

    The Municipality of Anchorage will be upgrading Duben Avenue, west and east of Muldoon Road to the latest roadway standards to improve vehicular and pedestrian safety in the neighborhood. Planning and design will take several years, with the earliest construction occurring in 2015.

  • 64th Avenue Upgrade

    Anchorage Alaska

    The Municipality of Anchorage will be reconstructing 64th Avenue from Laurel Street to Norm Drive to meet current roadway standards. This will include upgrading the roadway, drainage, sidewalks, and lighting.

  • Academy Drive / Vanguard Drive

    Anchorage, Alaska

    The Municipality of Anchorage has partnered with CRW to evaluate transportation network alternatives between Academy Drive and Abbott Road that will safely accommodate increased traffic generated by the Alaska Department of Transportation’s (ADOT&PF) 92nd Avenue Project.

  • Baxter Road Rehab

    Anchorage Alaska

    The Municipality of Anchorage is planning to rehabilitate Baxter Road between Tudor Road and Northern Lights Boulevard. Upgrades will include new roadway pavement, pathway and sidewalk resurfacing with new curb ramps to comply with the American for Disabilities Act (ADA), an improved storm drain system, new street lighting, and some utility relocation work.

  • Golden View Drive

    Anchorage, Alaska

    The Municipality of Anchorage has contracted with CRW to provide professional services to evaluate alternatives to upgrade Golden View Drive from Rabbit Creek Road to Romania Drive to current Municipal collector road standards and evaluate improvements to the Golden View Drive/Rabbit Creek Road intersection.

  • Parks Highway/Talkeetna Spur Road Pedestrian Improvements

    Talkeetna, Alaska

    The Alaska Department of Transportation is designing pedestrian improvements along the Parks Highway between Talkeetna Spur Road and Helena Avenue. Planning and design will take place from 2014-2017.

  • Turnagain Street & Turnagain Boulevard

    Anchorage, Alaska

    The Municipality of Anchorage has contracted with CRW to evaluate alternatives to upgrade these roadways to current Municipal standards, between Northern Lights Boulevard to Spenard Road. This will improve both pedestrian and driver safety. Improvements are expected to include a new road base, pavement, drainage system, pedestrian/bicycle facilities, and lighting.

  • Image Drive / Reflection Drive Project

    Anchorage, Alaska

    The Municipality of Anchorage (MOA) is planning to upgrade the Image/Reflection Drive area. The MOA has contracted with CRW Engineering Group, LLC to provide preliminary engineering and design services. The project is funded through the Draft Design Study Report (DSR) phase. No funding for construction has been received at this time.

  • Downtown Trail Connection

    The Downtown Trail Connection Project will identify and study alternatives for connecting the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail to the Ship Creek Trail in downtown Anchorage.

  • W. 32nd Ave & E. 33rd Ave Upgrades

    The Municipality of Anchorage is planning to upgrade the W. 32nd Ave and E. 33rd Ave. Corridor that runs east-west through Midtown Anchorage from Arctic Boulevard to the Old Seward Highway.
