The Bayshore West Subdivision Road Improvement District (RID) project will improve safety for both vehicles and pedestrians, facilitate maintenance activities, and improve drainage in the area. Improvements will include:
- New pavement, gutters, and curbs
- Replacement of the existing 4-foot wide sidewalks with 5-foot wide sidewalks
- Reconstruction of three asphalt pathways that connect Bayshore West Subdivision to Mears Middle School.
- A new storm drain system (includes extending it to Bettles Bay Loop and Eshamy Bay Drive)
- New lighting
- Traffic calming to discourage speeding
Schedule
Notice to Proceed to Contractor – May 29, 2008
Start Work - Approximately June 16, 2008
Finish Road and Drainage Work – Mid August 2008
Finish Street Lighting – Mid September 2008
Construction of this project is scheduled for the summer of 2008. |
